I've
always been
storyteller.

But I never set out to be a photographer. I was (and still am!) going to be a writer. And then as I worked toward that writing goal, someone put a camera in my hand and asked me to try telling stories with something besides words. So with an English nerd's love for character and tone, a romantic's love for poignant beauty, and a realist's love for imperfection, I dove in.

I've
always been a
story-teller.

That was back in 2010.

Since that time, photography has changed much of my life. It's brought me some of my dearest friends. It's reshaped the way my husband Danny and I view serving others. It has even literally taken me around the world. One thing that hasn't changed: my soul-stirring desire to tell stories that feel so real you're sure you knew them before you heard them. Or saw them. It's my privilege to tell those stories for my clients, and for the generations of their families still to come.

Published: Kaci + Frank and Tips for a Joyful Marriage on Le Magnifique | Central Florida Wedding Photographers

Friday, April 6th, 2012

I know Kaci and Frank were just on the blog yesterday, when I shared their intimate St. Patrick’s Day wedding at our church in Ormond Beach. Well, they’re back for an encore today — and this time they’re on Le Magnifique, too!

Last week we were honored to see Nikole and Arun’s sweet engagement session on Le Magnifique; this week it’s one of our favorite shots from Kaci and Frank’s St. Augustine engagement session in early January. A couple weeks ago, Le Magnifique’s editor, Damaris, put out a call for married photographers who would be willing to contribute tips for an article about how to maintain a joyful marriage, and I joined eleven incredible ladies sharing advice. Then Kaci and Frank’s picture was chosen to accompany the article — and really, can you think of a better representation of a joyful, loving couple than the two of them giggling in the golden sunlight as they stood in the very spot where he had asked her to marry him?

Check it out — and share the article, too! We can all use some more marriage advice, right?! I know I’ll be taking the other ladies’ words of wisdom to heart. Damaris, thank you for giving me the chance to be a part of this project, and Kaci and Frank, thank you for being the picture-perfect joyful couple!
