There were already tears in both their eyes when Taylor handed her mom the gift from Jerry. Robin glanced down at the handkerchief and let her tears start falling. She held it out so the embroidery was visible to the cluster of Taylor’s bridesmaids gathered at the church, waiting to enter the sanctuary where Taylor and Jerry were about to promise each other a lifetime of love. The handkerchief read, “Robin, Thank you for raising Taylor to be the woman of my dreams. Jerry.”
And you can tell that she is the woman of his dreams by the way he laughs when she catches his eye. You can tell he’s the man of hers when she wraps herself into his arms.
Yesterday, they were married in a heart-felt ceremony at Westminster-by-the-Sea Presbyterian Church, followed by a rocking reception at the Riverfront Center at St. Demetrios. Their Kentucky Derby day celebration was filled with nods to Taylor’s horse-centered upbringing, but it was the love and fun these two clearly share that took center stage on their wedding day.
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Childers! I’m sure you’re already having a blast cruising the Caribbean! ~ Laura
