We were wrapping up Laura and Sam’s post-wedding portraits at Lake Eola, where Sam proposed last fall, and they were just a few minutes away from melting in the 95 degree heat. That was when the cameraman from Fox 35 News walked up and asked if they’d mind answering a few questions for a story about people out and about in the sweltering temperatures. And that was when Laura got to introduce herself for the first time as a Mrs., and she didn’t miss a beat.
“L-A-U-R-A,” she told him when he asked her to spell her name. Then came her huge grin. “And the last name is Liu.”
Whether we were shooting their wedding ceremony at First Baptist of Orlando, their wedding reception at the Historic Dubsdread Ballroom, or their Lake Eola portraits, Laura and Sam could hardly take their eyes of each other. I understand that feeling. And how excited they must be for their honeymoon, with stops in Los Angeles, Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora!
They were also plenty excited today. And I can understand that, too.Laura and Sam, we hope the first few weeks of your marriage are as beautiful as today, and that you will keep basking in this happiness you’ve found together for the rest of your lives!
