Couples,
It might sound like my constant refrain: I love you. I love all our couples. I really do. Each wedding solidifies it in my mind. You all are the very best of brides and grooms.
You love one another not just with a convenient-for-now love, but a truly self-sacrificing love that makes me believe you both wholly when you promise yourselves to each other, till death do you part. You build one another up, and you put each other first. This is something I get to hear in your voices when you talk about each other, something I witness firsthand when we get together, and which makes your wedding day that much more beautiful. Your friends and family toast to it in their speeches. Your interactions with each other prove it, even when frozen in time in a photograph.
You know that your marriage should be your first priority — and that the wedding really is just the celebration of that much bigger event. You know this. You embrace this. And it makes you a joy to work with. If your wedding day schedule veers off track, you don’t panic but just enjoy your day for what it is, and what it becomes. If a decoration or event you had planned doesn’t pan out, you shrug it off and get back to what is most important to you: Being with the ones you love, and the one you love. If it’s hot when it’s time to head outside for your portraits, you carry a handkerchief to pat across your face, and if it rains, you pull out an umbrella and hop over puddles without complaint. You share your wedding day spotlight gladly, and you always manage to be thinking about your guests even as you’re taking care of yourself on the busiest day of your life.
You welcome Danny and me into your lives as if we’re a part of your extended circle of family and friends, and that is something for which we are forever grateful.~ Laura
