By the time Sharon was buttoned into her stunning Monique Lhuillier gown, the rain had passed into the mountains wrapped around Keswick. Everything would proceed as planned: A ceremony in front of the great house, overlooking the vineyards Sharon had long envisioned as the backdrop to her wedding day; a cocktail hour on the East Lawn, complete with croquet and cornhole to keep the guests entertained; a reception in the tent, with a sparkler exit and, for the getaway, a fiery red British MG convertible.
But the first item on the agenda was what Sharon wanted most: To go see Harrison. To savor their first look, just the two of them. To have her groom finally see his bride glowing and smiling and so ready to become his wife.
I truly hope their wedding day was everything Sharon and Harrison had hoped for. From where I stood, it sure looked like it was a dream coming true.Congratulations, you two! We hope you’re enjoying St. Lucia as you celebrate the start of your marriage!
