I've
always been
storyteller.

But I never set out to be a photographer. I was (and still am!) going to be a writer. And then as I worked toward that writing goal, someone put a camera in my hand and asked me to try telling stories with something besides words. So with an English nerd's love for character and tone, a romantic's love for poignant beauty, and a realist's love for imperfection, I dove in.

I've
always been a
story-teller.

That was back in 2010.

Since that time, photography has changed much of my life. It's brought me some of my dearest friends. It's reshaped the way my husband Danny and I view serving others. It has even literally taken me around the world. One thing that hasn't changed: my soul-stirring desire to tell stories that feel so real you're sure you knew them before you heard them. Or saw them. It's my privilege to tell those stories for my clients, and for the generations of their families still to come.

Tammy + Marc – An Orlando Wedding | Central Florida Wedding Photography

Tuesday, November 13th, 2012

They had worked long and hard — and secretly — to prepare for that one part of their wedding. And then the lights dimmed, the music washed through the room . . . and the new Mr. and Mrs. Levy owned the dance floor.

That’s kind of how Tammy and Marc’s wedding felt all day: Not a step out of place. From their sweet first look (which topped even their awesome Orlando engagement session!) to the beautiful ceremony to the crazy dance party that roared on until midnight, it went off without a hitch. Well, there was that bit where Tammy promised she wouldn’t cry at their first look and then did, but I think we can forgive that one moment that didn’t go according to plan. In fact, I think that went better than planned. No wedding day is complete without a tear or two.

But before the tears, the morning started in the President’s Suite. Tammy, you were every bit the stunning bride.A few floors below, Marc got ready with his groomsmen in another suite. You can see that the guys took their prep time really, really seriously. After the guys had had their fun, it was time for the moment Tammy and Marc had been waiting for. Tammy’s bridesmaid Eileen helped Tammy with her train as Tammy walked outside to the edge of the pond, where Marc was waiting to see his bride.Have I ever mentioned that I love first looks? Maybe once or twice? We could have photographed Tammy and Marc by themselves all day, but there was a bridal party patiently waiting their turn back in the lobby. And looking incredible. We let the guys head back inside to relax before the ceremony and had some fun with the gorgeous girls. I couldn’t get enough of their bright dresses and sparkly shoes. And Tammy? Less than an hour away from the altar, Tammy was looking more radiant than ever. The ceremony that followed was just as beautiful, with personal vows that were sweet, funny, and heartfelt. After the ceremony, Tammy and Marc had made some time for more portraits during the cocktail hour, when the sun was just dipping beyond the horizon and the sky turned the most romantic shade of pink that was the perfect backdrop for the newlyweds. Can a couple look any more in love?!Gorgeous, right?! While Tammy and Marc rejoined their family and friends poolside for the cocktail hour, Danny and I slipped into the ballroom to see the lovely fall decor — most of which Tammy and Marc had concocted themselves. The room looked amazing! Then came that first dance Tammy and Marc had put so much time and energy into — and I have to say it was well worth it! But there was no bigger smile in the room than on Marc’s face, and I don’t know if any groom has ever enjoyed his first dance more! The rest of the reception was just as much of a party!A huge thanks to DJ Shawn Estep from Subsonic Event DJs for keeping the party going! (Seriously, Central Florida couples — hire this man. He is great!) But even the best parties have to come to an end, and Tammy and Marc’s wound down at midnight, the guests waved the bride and groom off to their suite, and Mr. and Mrs. Levy headed off into married life!Want to see more of this beautiful wedding? You know you do! Check out Tammy and Marc’s slideshow, and watch it in HD for best viewing quality.
Tammy and Marc, we were so happy to be a part of your wedding day, and we hope you had an incredible honeymoon in Antigua! We can’t wait to hear all about it the next time we see you two. We wish you all the best!
