It’s today! Woohoo!

Now that I’ve stated the obvious, here’s why I’m excited: Today is the first of the four photography workshops/conferences we’re scheduled to attend this year, and needless to say, Danny and I can’t wait. We’ll be spending the day in Orlando with a bunch of other photographers for Justin and Mary‘s What’s Next Tour, which we think is a pretty great way to spend the day. Justin and Mary are not only wonderful photographers, but incredible business people, and incredibly motivating speakers. I met Mary in October at the first Pursuit 31 Conference, when I heard her speak twice. Both of those talks changed the way I view my business and approach my photography — so I know today is going to be more of the same awesomeness.

Danny and I are huge believers in ongoing education for any business person, and especially for photographers. We’ve felt and seen how much ongoing education has stretched and shaped us, how it has pushed us to take our photography to the next level, how it has reshaped the way we run our business and our personal lives. If we could go to twice as many workshops and conferences this year, we would. We would be broke, but hey, we would love to go!
