If you’re anything like me, you always thought the phrase, “Everyone is unique” was doublespeak for “So, in reality, no one is actually unique if everyone is unique.” If you believe that, maybe it would make you think that saying, “Every wedding is special” is equivalent to “No wedding is truly special if every wedding is special.” However. Ahem. You would be wrong.
Danny and I are so excited for each new wedding we photograph, because we know it will be different. It will not only present its own challenges and excitement and rewards, but a new cast of characters, a different backdrop, fresh new emotions and memorable moments. No two weddings turn out the same, even if most weddings take place in the same types of churches or venues, even if most brides wear traditional white gowns, in which they dance with their handsome grooms and cut their lovely cakes.
Every new wedding shows us another facet of love — a new dimension. No bride and groom love each other exactly the same way; no family loves each other exactly the same way. There are few things more beautiful than watching love unfold and begin anew and grow deeper right in front of your eyes, and this job lets us witness love up close and personal. What could be more exciting than that?~ Laura
