You might recognize Sonnette from her newborn portraits and four-month portraits — or you might not, now that she’s hit the big 0-1.
Photographing her with her family has been such a pleasure throughout this past year, because they’re as sweet as families come.
Clearly.
Sonnette arrived at her great aunt and great uncle’s house with her birthday outfit and her party hat and some seriously adorable pink and white balloons . . . which all zipped around in the wind and popped when they hit the grass before I could start shooting them. But I think you’ll have to agree that we still had enough cuteness to fill a dozen photo shoots.Sonnette might have been the center of attention since she was the one who had just had a birthday, but Dei made sure she kept things interesting for us. (What she was most interested in, however, was going inside to play in the toy room!) I loved her pearls and her lace and her ruffles!Could they be any cuter?!Elizabeth’s aunt stepped in to take the girls away (to the toy room) for a few minutes so we could get some pictures of Liz and Stephen alone. Which was absolutely wonderful, just like the rest of the evening.Aahhh! When the girls came back, we headed across the street to visit the horses. Dei made sure to lead the way.Sometimes, after people have been asking you to smile for an hour straight, you just need to scream. Liz and Stephen, thank you for another wonderful time with your family! I absolutely love watching your daughters grow and seeing the way your family relationship is growing, too. You all are a blessing to so many people!

They are seriously the most beautiful family!
