They walked back up their aisle, gripping each other’s hands — a familiar feeling, but now excitingly unfamiliar with the addition of wedding bands on their ring fingers. Amanda and Shane stopped as they rounded the corner and wrapped themselves into each other’s arms. As he reached up to brush away tears, his best man teased him, and Shane laughed back, “I think this is one day that a man is allowed to cry.”
He had something worth crying about. A woman who loves him dearly, and who couldn’t stop beaming as they exchanged their vows during their tiny wedding ceremony at Kraft Azalea Garden earlier this month. A family that had gathered around them to celebrate on that gorgeous spring day. A new job awaiting him up north — the reason he and Amanda had decided to get married quickly, so they could move together as husband and wife to begin that exciting new chapter together in New York. It all deserved at least a few tears.
The day began, for Amanda and their relatives, at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. She’s a huge Disney fan, so it was only fitting to begin her wedding day at The Happiest Place on Earth.I loved it all — Amanda’s classy heels, the sash she’d hand-made, her tea length polka dotted gown, the darling flowers, and the way the room’s yellow and gray color scheme perfectly coordinated with the colors of the wedding!
And now for one of my new all-time favorite ring shots:
I just love this picture of Amanda’s mom helping her into her gown!
You looked incredible, Amanda.
And then we were off to the wedding at Kraft Azalea Garden. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bride smiling wider as she walked down the aisle!Or a groom more pleased with his bride.
Absolutely giddy!
There is no question that walking away from your wedding ceremony as Mr. and Mrs. is one of the best feelings in the world! We got their entire wedding party together — their immediate families only. And then we spent some time with the bridal party.
And then, finally, the bride and groom. Who looked so, so happily in love.We peeked in on a few quiet, private moments. I love the unscripted parts of love that we witness on a couple’s wedding day.
And the fairy tale moments, too.
Oh, did you see Amanda’s gown had pockets? Brides, take note — great idea!So dreamy. The end of their wedding was only the beginning of their celebration: Amanda and Shane headed back to Disney to enjoy the evening with their family at Epcot, and then several more days honeymooning and park hopping!
If you want to see even more of their wedding, watch their slideshow, and be sure to check out their PASS gallery, too!
Amanda and Shane, you two definitely share something special. We were so happy to be there as you promised your lives to each other, and we truly hope that each new phase of your life together is even better than what came before! Congratulations!
