Remember Callie and Phil’s beautiful Dubsdread wedding from June? We got to revisit it yesterday, shooting an After the Altar session where these two got back into their gown and tux. And yesterday couldn’t have been any more incredible.I can’t wait to share the rest of this incredible session, but for now, I’ll just share one of the reasons that I think After the Altar portraits can be such a great way to cap off the wedding celebration: As Callie reiterated several times yesterday, it was far more relaxing than the wedding day itself. Dedicating an entire afternoon to shooting portraits on a day when there was nothing else planned — no reception to get to, no guests waiting, no other photographs to take, and perhaps best of all, no wedding day jitters — means it feels like just an hour or two of laughing together, all dressed up. And it produces some incredibly beautiful results.
