It isn’t every day that one of your best friends gets engaged, and it isn’t every day that you photograph one of your best friend’s engagement session.
I’ve pretty much lost count of the number of engagement sessions we’ve shot over the last several years, but this is one that will stand out for me. Because Amanda has been my best friend since age thirteen. Because she and Brad took us back to the beach at Tomoka State Park where he popped the question last month. Because we couldn’t have had a more beautiful afternoon, and because they couldn’t be more excited to be in love.Anyone who knows Amanda well will tell you this picture is so her!
Love this one.For as long as I can remember, Amanda has wanted her grandmother’s ring to someday become her engagement ring. After years of safekeeping, it’s finally out of its box and on her finger where it belongs. It was on this very picnic table — dragged to the edge of the river — where Brad asked Amanda to marry him.I think love is a good look for them.
Amanda and Brad, I am not sure if Danny and I have ever meant it more when we’ve told someone that we are truly thrilled not only for the wedding, but for the wonderful marriage we know will follow. We are so, so happy for you both!

Narrowed favorites to three…can’t believe I was able to do that. Amazing work , Laura! Is this the actual table not at high tide?
Beautiful!!
