They met in Colorado, as students at the Air Force Academy. They got engaged in Texas, with both sets of parents as witnesses, as they explored San Antonio in the heart of the summer. And then they got married in Florida on an unseasonably balmy winter day, just a few minutes’ drive from the home where Meagan grew up. And it couldn’t have been even the tiniest bit more beautiful.

For Meagan, the day began at home, with a house full of excited bridesmaids, and a fabulous pair of Jimmy Choos.
Meagan’s veil featured lace from her mother’s wedding gown, and she wore her late grandmother’s opal ring and carried a Bible her grandmother had given her. I love those kinds of deeply personal details, these sentimental somethings borrowed.Vince and his groomsmen — and both Vince’s and Meagan’s dads — got ready just a short way down the road.And then it was off to the Lake Mary Events Center, where Meagan and her father had one of the best father-daughter first looks.Her family all prayed together afterward — something that, in all the weddings we’ve shot, we hadn’t yet seen before. It was wonderful. Meagan and her bridesmaids slipped out to the back patio for their gorgeous portraits so that Vince and the groomsmen wouldn’t accidentally sneak up on them.Meagan and Vince wanted the opportunity to talk to each other before the ceremony to settle their nerves and enjoy as much time together as possible, but they decided they wanted to save the big reveal for Meagan’s trip down the aisle, so they had the most perfect no-look — with their entire bridal party in attendance! The ceremony setup overlooking Crystal Lake could not have been more lovely.The same goes for their beautiful ceremony. During which Meagan and Vince whispered jokes to each other at the altar!And then came the portraits, which is always one of my favorite parts of a wedding day. Especially when we get to photograph such an amazing bridal party!Back when Meagan first contacted us about shooting their wedding, she was so excited about the thought of capturing stunning golden hour portraits with her new husband, and we structured the entire day’s timeline to make sure that would happen. And then we prayed for sunshine.

What we got was like something out of a dream — and some of our favorite, dreamiest bride and groom portraits to date.Meagan — you were breathtaking.Inside, the cocktail hour was taking place in the gorgeous rotunda. And then in the ballroom there was a whole lot more gorgeousness. We love the way uplighting can absolutely transform a room, and the purple lights at Meagan and Vince’s reception had the room glowing luxuriously.Wasn’t their cake perfect?!When he wasn’t crying, Meagan’s dad was singing to her during their father-daughter dance. You’d better believe I was leaving tears all over my camera’s viewfinder.This reception was a party!Things reached a grand finale with “Don’t Stop Believing” and Meagan and Vince’s sparkler exit as they headed off to their honeymoon in the Dominican Republic!Meagan and Vince, it was an absolute honor to capture your wedding day, and we couldn’t be happier for you both!
