Fall is fickle in Florida. We get crisp blue skies and plenty of crackling sycamore and magnolia leaves scattered on our lawns, but cool autumn air is hard to come by. On this fall afternoon, when the littler little man was exactly one month old and the bigger little man was spiffed up like a Ralph Lauren model ready to head out for a stroll at the country club, it looked exactly the way fall should. So let’s just pretend that it also felt like fall instead of being steamy right up until sunset!

At-home family portrait sessions are some of my favorites. The family gets to relax, without having to pile into the car and with all the necessities close at hand, and we get to capture family photographs in an intimate, significant place. All the better when that place gives us glorious golden sunlight and a beautiful yard for a backdrop!
