These people are pretty special to us. You may remember two of them from the mother-daughter beach portraits last spring — but one of them has changed a lot since then! One thing that hasn’t changed? That megawatt grin, although it’s a little bit toothier these days!

Also, there were a couple exciting firsts for me during this shoot. It was the first time a child ever reached for me to hold her instead of her parents while we were doing portraits. And then I did hold her, and it became the first time that I ever photographed a couple while holding their child. Let me tell you, operating a big, heavy DSLR with just one hand is no easy feat! But it was worth it. Their whole portrait session was just perfect!Super sweet moment for just the two of them, right? But meanwhile, just outside the camera frame….
I loved this, you three! Let’s do it all again next year!
