With five girls already in the mix, they got the question nonstop: “So, do you think this one will be a boy?” And their answer every time was an honest, “We don’t know.” They’d decided not to find out this time and let baby # 6 be a surprise!

Another surprise: baby # 6 was’t worried about punctuality. In fact, this at-home maternity session was on the baby’s due date! Then, as soon as we wrapped up shooting, Dad + kid # 1 headed out to teach/participate in a gymnastics class . . . on the baby’s due date. With # 6, things are very relaxed! But no less exciting or anticipated than with # 1.The girls were excited to come outside on that windy evening, but the youngest ones were a lot more interested in their tree swing than in pictures. And I just love # 5’s reaction to being encouraged to smile for the camera!
