I had a wonderful week in Washington — visiting with friends, soaking in the springtime (and lack of humidity!), just remembering that the most important times in our lives are when we’re with the people we care about most.
It really isn’t about how much work we get done, or even how many goals we accomplish. It definitely isn’t about the status we achieve or the money we bank. Sometimes it can feel like that’s what matters most, though. Then we get a much-needed reality check. In the form of friends. And the occasional breathtaking view across Puget Sound. This week was a much-needed reminder that being busy is unavoidable in our lives — but that we ought to avoid the busyness we create for ourselves. We should live each day and enjoy its blessings to the fullest.
Get through all the busyness so you can soak in simply being still, and savoring what matters most.
