In the middle of all your wedding planning, sometimes it might feel as if you’re getting married so you can host a wedding. Because you have to. Because wedding planning has morphed into your full-time occupation.
But it most certainly isn’t the reason you’re getting married. You’re getting married because you’re in love.
You’re getting married because you want to spend your lives together.
You’re getting married because you want to make a life together.
And that life is about a whole lot more than the details of your wedding day. Those are fun, those will make your wedding day feel unique and fancy and wedding-like. But your wedding is a celebration to start your marriage — not the culmination of your relationship. Embrace the planning. But whenever you’re feeling overwhelmed or overly caught up in the wedding details, take a moment to remember why you’re getting married — why you love each other so much in the first place.
