Barely two weeks new, this little man was already a pro at handling his big brothers by the time we took his newborn portraits. He’d already learned to sleep through the sounds of their playing. He’d already learned they were a lot more interested in goofing off — you know, being boys — than in cuddling their newest brother. Still, he has a lot more to learn in the coming years, not only from his brothers, but from his parents. Specifically, the gentle patience, and love, and kindness they exemplify for their children.

But I think he can already tell how much they all love him.
