The softest of sunrises watercolored the sky for this sweet family during their Daytona Beach Shores portrait session last month. They told me they try to do family portraits twice a year, because they don’t want to forget any season of life with their littles. And they said they’ve been vacationing here for years, dating back to when their mama was a child herself.
This year, they wanted to capture their family’s portraits at the beach that’s been special to them since before their family began. I’m so glad we did. While the girls are total mermaids, their little brother isn’t quite as confident in the water. So they took his hands to make sure he was comfortable as they went wading together.
The six-month-old wasn’t all that into her flower crown. Or sitting on the damp sand. Or being awake at that hour, poor baby! (Just five minutes later, while I held her as I photographed her parents’ portraits, she snuggled her face into my shoulder and fell asleep.) Just the girls.
Let’s wrap up with one of my favorite family pictures to date. The girls’ faces are priceless!
Thank you all for spending this beautiful morning with me during your vacation!
