This month was one we’d been looking forward to all year — because, after years and years of daydreaming about a trip to France together, it finally happened. It was wonderful.
An apartment in Saint-Germain served as our home base for two weeks of seeing all the sights, sampling all the food . . . and even sleeping in most mornings. It was a real vacation! But don’t worry, it was also a workout: we walked 90 miles. And while we were there, the temperatures dipped from highs in the mid-70s to highs in the lower 60s, and the city shook its leaves from green to coppery-gold.
There may be a longer blog post to come, about Paris or the beautiful day we spent in the Loire Valley as the grape harvest took place, but for now at least — here’s a peek into our trip! ~ Laura
