While my photographer friends up north are shooting portraits with gorgeous autumn-y backdrops of crisp cornflower skies and leaves easing into hues of russet and copper, it has still felt like summertime here in Florida. At our last engagement session, I wore a sleeveless blouse. In fact . . . I’ve worn a sleeveless shirt pretty much every day since April. And I’m ready for fall.
Yesterday, I think it finally started. The air was decidedly cooler in the morning, less humid, and fresher. Even the sunlight is beginning to change. It’s time. Fall, I’m ready for you!
Bring on the boots and sweaters. Bring on the apple and pecan and pumpkin pies. Bring on the fall decorations I sprinkle throughout my house, since our palm trees sure won’t be changing colors.Six months of summer is simply too much.
