Five years of marriage have gone by so quickly. It feels as if I took a breath on that crisp afternoon when we got married, and by the time I exhaled, here we are: Five years farther into our lives, into this adventure, into learning each other so deeply, so profoundly.

These have been the best five years.

We took these portraits as we headed out to dinner on my birthday last week. I think we need to set our tripod up and do this more often. Because the next five years will fly by, and then the next five and the next.

There’s no one else I would want to spend them with. Danny is a better husband that I could have ever expected or asked for, and I am so excited for the next five years, and then the next and the next and the next.
