Earlier this week, we shelved the holiday busyness for a day and spent an afternoon in St. Augustine with friends. It was a positively chilly day by Florida standards, but beautiful by any!
St. Augustine is my old stomping grounds, since I graduated from Flagler College, but there are always bits and pieces of Old Town that are still new to me. Like The Floridian — somehow, I had never eaten at this little farm-to-table gem, but after lunch there, it may be our new go-to restaurant in St. Augustine. After lunch, we wandered the streets, ate fudge and gelato and drank chai and espresso, wandered the waterfront, and after dark we took in the Christmas lights and the lighting of a menorah (made of ice) in the Plaza. In the middle of all that, we pulled out a camera (and took our jackets off as briefly as possible) for a few quick golden hour portraits of ourselves over near the fort.
C’est si bon. Or, as is more appropriate for an old Spanish town, todo bien.~ Laura
So glad you took the time for these! Takes me back to another chilly day in St. Augustine many, many years ago You all look great!
