When I first heard from Ava and Scott, it was because Ava knew Chelsie and Josh, and I figured that’s what happens in a fairly small town, particularly in the horse community. Then I learned Ava’s family breeds Arabian horses, and I realized this was more than just a small-town coincidence: her family bred my mare, nearly twenty-five years ago. And I was going to shoot Ava and Scott’s engagement portraits on her family’s farm with a couple of their other beautiful Arabians. I was in heaven!

After doing the shoot and looking through all their gorgeous pictures, I still am.
This is perfection, you two!Meet gorgeous Vern and Diva — they look almost the same, but check out the shapes of the stars on their faces, and keep track of white socks versus no white socks and you can tell which is which!And this dock? It’s right where Ava and Scott got engaged!It could not have been a more dreamy night for sunset portraits in a field with a happy-in-love couple and a beautiful horse!And if Jasmine the goat isn’t the best photo bomber ever, I don’t know what could be!Let’s end on this sweet note:Ava and Scott, you two were wonderful together!
